800 DENTAL (336825)

Introduction

The Teddy Bear Dental Hospital is an initiative developed in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences. The initiative is a program designed to teach school children hands-on about medical procedures, and to decrease any preconceived fears of doctor visits.

We look forward to

  • Providing an interactive experience for young children up to 8 years of age.

  • Helping children feel comfortable in the clinical environment.

  • Educating them on healthy oral and dental practices.

  • Making them experience a joyful dental visit.

It’s all about the fun!

  • Introduction to the initiative.
  • Put on the white coats and start the duty call.
  • Orient children to the space in the dental hospital.

Our Pediatric dentists will guide the children through some basic concepts of oral health with an interactive teeth brushing technique demonstration.

Explain the benefits of good hand hygiene habits with a very special simulated Glow Germ gel demonstration on the hands.

The child will have the chance to sit on the other side of the dental chair and become the dentist.
Children will be involved interactively in a showcase of the different parts of a typical dental chair with a hands-on session on some of the cleaning and polishing equipment a dentist would use.

We role-play grocery shopping and right food choices for healthy teeth, allowing children to reflect on how this affects their general health and wellbeing.

At the conclusion of the program, we will award the child a ‘I Completed the Teddy Bear Dental Hospital’ certificate, to showcase their learning achievement proudly.

A group photo will be taken with the Teddy Bear Dental Hospital team after taking parental consent.
